Cadarga Press is now making many of its titles available for free in the EPUB format!

Increasing Popularity of E-Books

While many people enjoy holding a physical copy of a book in their hand, we understand that there is an increasing number of readers who prefer to use e-book devices for their regular reading.   Such devices certainly have many advantages over physical books: The size of the text can be adjusted as required, large numbers of books can be stored in very little space, personal notes can be saved, and some devices can even convert text into speech.  Given that there are also countless e-books freely available online, it is not surprising that so many people have switched to e-readers. 

One of the drawbacks, however, is that the quality of many free e-books can be very poor.  Some files can be badly formatted, making it very difficult for reading on a small screen.  Others are quickly converted from OCR'd files and never properly checked.  As a result, they can be full of spelling mistakes, textual omissions and other serious errors.  In the end, an otherwise useful book often fails to get read because of the poor quality of its e-book.

Cadarga Press EPUBs

Given the increasing popularity of e-books, Cadarga Press is now in the process of making many of its titles available as EPUB e-books.  We currently have all 3 titles in the Vital Godliness Series available, along with John Girardeau's work, Instrumental Music in the Public Worship of the Church. 

Lord willing, we also hope to make all of the titles in the Year of Devotions and Pocket Devotions series available in the months ahead.

We are striving to produce high quality e-books that are a pleasure to read on most e-reader devices. Our EPUB files mimic the layout and fonts of our print editions, and contain reflowable text, linked tables of contents, and footnotes where applicable. They have also been checked that they meet the WCAG 2.0 Level AA guidelines for EPUB Accessibility.

However, due to the varying nature of e-book readers, this does not guarantee that our books will look the same across all devices.  But they should work well across a wide range of modern e-readers.  If you have any trouble reading them on your device, please let us know on our Contact Page.

Our EPUBs are Free!

As with our other digital downloads, our EPUB files are available free of charge, for the sake of Christ's kingdom.  They are in the public domain and you may freely use and distribute them as you please!
